Synopsis:

Saturday Supercade was an hour-long block of cartoons that played on Saturday mornings beginning in 1983. It included several segments that were each based on a different video game that was popular at the time. For the first season, Donkey Kong, Donkey Kong Jr., Frogger, Pitfall, and Q*bert filled the hour. In the second season, Frogger and Pitfall were dropped from the line-up and replaced with Space Ace, and Kangaroo.

Donkey Kong featured the same characters that were present in the vintage arcade game, but in the animated tale Donkey Kong was an escapee from the circus and was constantly on the run from Mario and his niece Pauline, who were attempting to bring him back. The lovable ape always managed to stay a step ahead of his pursuers who were equipped with nothing more than a net and dogged determination.
