Synopsis:

Those cute, bear-like denizens of Endor, first introduced in Return of the Jedi, received their own show two years later (not to mention some new action figures . . . ). The Ewoks had proven their continued popularity in the made-for-TV movies The Ewok Adventure and Ewoks: The Battle for Endor, and Saturday morning seemed like the next logical step.

The series revolved around a young group of Ewoks led by Wicket, the very same Ewok who discovered Princess Leia in the film. This time, however, the audience could understand Wicket and his brothers Widdle and Weechee, all of whom were regressed to teenagers. The three siblings, along with friends Princess Kneesaa and Latara, still lived on their forest moon home, engaging in one dangerous adventure after another.

In 1986 The Ewoks became The Ewoks and Star Wars Droids Adventure Hour. Later that year, ABC dropped the Droids and resurfaced as The All-New Ewoks with (mostly) all-new Ewoks. The retooled show lasted only one more season, after which rabid Star Wars fans had to content themselves with comic books, role playing games, and novels until the next feature installment in 1999.
