Synopsis:

Micro Ventures was one of several cartoon segments shown on a rotating basis during The Banana Splits And Friends Show, a show with a cast of live-action actors in animal costumes who acted as the show's hosts, performing silly skits and introducing the next Hanna-Barbera cartoon or another live-action segment.

In Micro Ventures, Professor Carter and his teenaged children, Patsy and Tommy, used their Micro-Reducer to shrink themselves to miniature size in order to explore the insect world. They traveled about in a yellow dune buggy, and the audience at home got to see the insect world from a different perspective, while at the same time getting an education. Needless to say, when you're smaller than an insect danger looms all around, and the three were often forced to make narrow escapes, fleeing from hungry insects or small animals.

Nearly as miniscule as the Carters was the number of episodes they appeared in. Only four, 4 1/2-minute episodes of Micro Ventures were produced.
