Synopsis:

In the early 90s Hasbro attempted to revive the "My Little Pony" craze of the mid 80s with My Little Pony Tales. This version of the earlier cartoon series received mixed fanfare due to its stark differences from the original. Gone were the nasty witches and warlocks who plotted to take over Ponyland. Human characters were also noticeably absent. There were still songs however, but they were now limited to one song per story (or two songs per episode).

In the show, we got a Ponyland similar to the American culture of the early 90s, which included technology such as VCRs, PCs, Camcorders, etc. The basic plotlines had also been changed from simple good-versus-evil, to stories that dealt with real-life problems and how to solve them.

My Little Pony Tales originally aired on the Disney channel and was later syndicated to various networks worldwide.
